The Salvation Army Is On Scene in the Lakeshore Area Providing Disaster Relief to Tornado Survivors

CHATTANOOGA, TN – Salvation Army Officers are in the Lakeshore area providing emotional and spiritual care for folks who are still shocked that a tornado has touched down in their area.  The Salvation Army mobile kitchen unit is roaming with Salvation Army volunteers providing much needed water, coffee, and snacks to victims and clean-up crews.  The Army plans on working well into the night until they are no longer needed.

The Salvation Army is asking the public for their prayers for those affected by the storm.

“We are out doing what The Salvation Army does best, providing hope, healing, and help in time of need,” states Area Commander, Jim Lawrence.  “We will continue doing the most good, meeting the needs of victims, emergency workers and clean-up crews until we are no longer needed.”
