Nashville Salvation Army Serves Those Affected By Severe Storms

Nashville, TNThe Salvation Army is currently serving neighborhoods throughout the East Nashville community handing out fresh coffee and donuts compliments of Krispy Kreme while offering prayer and a helping hand to those affected by last nights strong storms.

Metro Public Works crews are out today assessing and clearing fallen trees and debris blocking roadways.  Officials said there are reports of extensive property damage and numerous downed trees and power lines in neighborhoods in the Antioch, Smith Springs, East and West Nashville and Lakewood areas of the city.

Thousands of residents are still without power and many have faced damage to their homes. We ask that you continue to keep our neighbors here in Middle Tennessee in your prayers.
