Multi-Community Response In Eastern Tennessee

Eastern Tennessee

The Canteen -- Mobile Feeding Unit--from Johnson City, Tennessee; manned by a trained team from Kingsport, Tennessee is serving in Tennessee's Greene County.  

As reenforcement to the effort in Greene County, a canteen from Bowling Green, Kentucky is onsite and serving hot meals, snacks, and drinks.

Over the last two days, these teams have provided more than 1350 meals to those impacted by the devastation in Horse Creek and Greenville areas.   

In addition to that, 100 cases of water has been distributed.

Further east, a canteen and crew from Murfreesboro, Tennessee has arrived in Bristol, TN/VA to serve in the aftermath of the tornadoes in Glad Springs, Virginia; an area serviced by The Salvation Army in Bristol.

Food, drinks, and snacks have been distributed to survivors and responders.

Throughout the service areas Emotional and Spiritual Care is emphasied.  This aspect of Emergency Disaster Services is unique within The Salvation Army's response efforts.
