At the request of Oregon State Fire, The Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services deployed on Friday, August 17th to the Stubblefield Fire in Condon, Oregon. Within a few hours, The Salvation Army served 205 meals and distributed over 900 water bottles to firefighters. The team continued to serve in Condon through August 23rd and distributed 2,560 cups of coffee, 1,161 water bottles, 2,029 snacks and 597 personal care items.

Holli Diamond from Baker City, OR was the team leader at the Stubblefield Fire. Earlier in August, Holli was a part of a team from Oregon that traveled to relieve volunteers at the Carr Fire in Northern California. Then just a couple weeks later, Holli provided the same support at home in Oregon, as she did at the Carr Fire. At the Stubblefield Fire, the team served snacks, hydration, and personal care items to firefighters at the Stubblefield Fire.

Holli shared, “this is another way for me to make a difference and another opportunity to show people God's love through action”. We’re thankful for her dedication to serving others.
