CLEAR CREEK COUNTY, CO (June 28, 2019) – In response to the fire in Clear Creek County, The Salvation Army will assist more than 80 first responders by providing dinner in the field on Friday evening, June 28. The Salvation Army will prepare and serve the warm, balanced meal from its Emergency Disaster Services canteen.
According to The Clear Creek County Sheriff’s Office, the fire began Thursday around 2:40 p.m. and grew to 10 acres. No injuries or structures damaged have been reported.
While emergency management expects the response to wrap up this evening, The Salvation Army is prepared to extend services through the weekend.
