Community Strength and Unity in the Wake of Tornadoes in Wynne, Arkansas  with The Salvation Army Providing Uplifting Support

Wynne, Arkansas (April 13, 2023) The community of Wynne, Arkansas has experienced devastating tornadoes that have left many homes damaged or destroyed, churches in ruins, and the high school destroyed.  In the midst of this tragedy, however, the community has shown remarkable strength and unity, with various organizations coming together to help those in need.

The Salvation Army is one of the uplifting organizations providing assistance to those affected by the tornadoes.  With officers, employees, and volunteers, they have been able to serve meals and provide bottles of water to those in need, offering a glimmer of hope in a difficult time.  Their dedication and unwavering support have been a beacon of light to many in the community.

The youth of the community returned to school on Wednesday, which is a definite sign of returning to normalcy.  Power has been restored to all areas where it can be accepted, and the community is making great strides in getting back on its feet.

In this time of crisis, the community of Wynne, Arkansas has shown incredible resilience, and with the help of organizations like The Salvation Army, they will continue to rebuild and recover.

Since a tornado tore through parts of Arkansas on March 31, The Salvation Army has provided 25,222 meals, 9,903 drinks, 16.383 snacks, and provided emotional and spiritual care to 991 individuals.
