Little Caesar’s Love Kitchen Partners with The Salvation Army in Shawnee

Shawnee, OK (April 24, 2023) It was only 45 days ago when Little Caesar’s reached out to The Salvation Army in Shawnee, via its national partnership, to arrange to feed residents of the shelter and surrounding area. God knew before The Salvation Army did, there would be a need to not only feed the shelter, yet additional pizzas would be needed to help feed the community after tornadoes caused major destruction in the community at-large.

Therefore, The Salvation Army was pleased to see the arrival of Little’s Caesar’s Love Kitchen in Shawnee, Oklahoma.  The successful partnership with Little Caesar's brought relief to disaster survivors and a unique meal to shelter residents. Since 1985, the Love Kitchen has been serving hot, fresh pizza to those in need and has now expanded its reach to provide aid to disaster survivors in partnership with The Salvation Army.

Originally scheduled to serve the shelter and surrounding community on April 20, the Love Kitchen agreed to come on April 21st to also provide aid to disaster survivors. The Salvation Army dispatched three mobile feeding units to areas of destruction where survivors and first responders were grateful for pizza and a bottle of cold water.

Through this partnership, the Love Kitchen provided 1,200 pieces of pizza to feed the hungry. The Salvation Army is grateful for the support from Little Caesar's, a valued partner in their mission to provide aid to those in need.

"The Love Kitchen has been a crucial partner in our disaster relief efforts," said Laurie Fried, Divisional Director of Emergency Disaster Services for The Salvation Army’s Arkansas-Oklahoma Division. "We appreciate Little Caesar's commitment to supporting our mission and providing help to those in need."

Little Caesar's is dedicated to supporting local communities and disaster relief efforts through partnerships with organizations such as The Salvation Army. They are excited to continue working together and providing aid to those who need it.
