Chattanooga Salvation Army Ready To Lend Assistance For Kentucky Storms

Chattanooga, TN (February 29, 2012) – The Chattanooga Salvation Army’s Disaster Services Mobile Kitchen Unit and Rapid Response Vehicle (catering truck) are on standby for mobilization to assist in areas of Kentucky that continue under tornado alerts. “The Salvation Army meets needs immediately and shares resources continuously between each others’ service areas,” says Marketing Director Kimberly George.

In preparation for what many are predicting to be an active tornado season, the Chattanooga Salvation Army is holding disaster response training classes March 30 and 31, at The Salvation Army Citadel Corps, 1019 North Moore Road. Classes will give volunteers the tools necessary to serve on a Salvation Army disaster response team.  All those interested in this free training may call 423-756-1023 or visit www.csarmy.org to register.
