The Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services Team Responds to Severe Storms in South Jersey
The Salvation Army New Jersey Division Emergency Disaster Services (EDS) has been responding to Tuesday’s severe storms in Southern New Jersey that has left thousands of residents without power.
The EDS team will continue to provide food and hydration to first responders and victims as well as emergency assistance to those that have been impacted. Canteens are able to provide 1500 meals per day and will be set up at 5 Mantua Blvd. in Mount Royal, NJ and 200 North Delsea Drive in Clayton, NJ.
“During this time, we want people to know that we are here for the community and will continue relief efforts for as long as we are needed,” says Michael Clayton, Director of Emergency Disaster Services.
In addition to the feeding, Salvation Army Officers and volunteers will be available to offer emotional and spiritual support for those who need someone to listen.
