Local businesses are encouraged to sponsor meals prepared by local restaurants and delivered to The Salvation Army, with an average of 180 meals delivered daily to area seniors by staff and volunteers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Salvation Army of San Antonio, Texas recently had the privilege of serving breakfast to healthcare workers between their shifts at Methodist Hospital Texsan. In addition to providing food that was donated by Krispy Kreme and Taco Cabana, The Salvation Army also offered prayer and spiritual\/emotional care to employees and individuals waiting to hear information about loved ones treated inside the hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tasked with feeding approximately 5,000 senior citizens due to food insecurity in the region, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.southernspiritonline.org\/baltimore-ravens-boost-10000-meals-a-day-initiative\/\">The<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.southernspiritonline.org\/baltimore-ravens-boost-10000-meals-a-day-initiative\/\">Salvation<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.southernspiritonline.org\/baltimore-ravens-boost-10000-meals-a-day-initiative\/\">Army<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.southernspiritonline.org\/baltimore-ravens-boost-10000-meals-a-day-initiative\/\">of<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.southernspiritonline.org\/baltimore-ravens-boost-10000-meals-a-day-initiative\/\">Central<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.southernspiritonline.org\/baltimore-ravens-boost-10000-meals-a-day-initiative\/\">Maryland<\/a> received a generous donation from the NFL\u2019s Baltimore Ravens. In addition to the sizable grant, the Ravens also connected The Salvation Army with the Maryland Stadium Authority, which provided a large parking lot for staging the equipment needed to begin a massive operation.
