In the Southern Territory, the aim to meet human need in His name without discrimination persists and arrives in a variety of ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to meet a growing need in their community, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salvationarmycarolinas.org\/blog\/2020\/04\/09\/food-delivery-to-seniors\/\">the<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salvationarmycarolinas.org\/blog\/2020\/04\/09\/food-delivery-to-seniors\/\">Salvation<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salvationarmycarolinas.org\/blog\/2020\/04\/09\/food-delivery-to-seniors\/\">Army<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salvationarmycarolinas.org\/blog\/2020\/04\/09\/food-delivery-to-seniors\/\">of<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salvationarmycarolinas.org\/blog\/2020\/04\/09\/food-delivery-to-seniors\/\">Greater<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salvationarmycarolinas.org\/blog\/2020\/04\/09\/food-delivery-to-seniors\/\">Winston<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.salvationarmycarolinas.org\/blog\/2020\/04\/09\/food-delivery-to-seniors\/\">&#8211;<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.salvationarmycarolinas.org\/blog\/2020\/04\/09\/food-delivery-to-seniors\/\">Salem<\/a> has begun a food delivery service to seniors without transportation. This population is not only at greater risk of virus contraction, but food security is also a significant issue. Canteen service provides home delivery to individuals and families, all while practicing social distancing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.southernspiritonline.org\/club-316-in-a-box-closes-distancing-gap-in-johnson-city\/\">In<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.southernspiritonline.org\/club-316-in-a-box-closes-distancing-gap-in-johnson-city\/\">Johnson<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.southernspiritonline.org\/club-316-in-a-box-closes-distancing-gap-in-johnson-city\/\">City<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.southernspiritonline.org\/club-316-in-a-box-closes-distancing-gap-in-johnson-city\/\">, <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.southernspiritonline.org\/club-316-in-a-box-closes-distancing-gap-in-johnson-city\/\">Tennessee<\/a>, The Salvation Army is distributing \u201cClub 316 in a box\u201d kits to help youth stay engaged. Kits include six weeks of educational material for young people, with daily devotionals, bible lessons and a science project also in the package. Though schools in the area are continuing to serve lunches for children, snacks were distributed for each child with the goal of alleviating some of the extra financial burden for local families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Face masks are critical in combating the COVID-19 pandemic, and <a href=\"https:\/\/salvationarmyflorida.org\/2020\/04\/13\/salvation-army-womens-ministry-group-uses-sewing-skills-to-meet-needs\/\">The<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/salvationarmyflorida.org\/2020\/04\/13\/salvation-army-womens-ministry-group-uses-sewing-skills-to-meet-needs\/\">Salvation<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/salvationarmyflorida.org\/2020\/04\/13\/salvation-army-womens-ministry-group-uses-sewing-skills-to-meet-needs\/\">Army<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/salvationarmyflorida.org\/2020\/04\/13\/salvation-army-womens-ministry-group-uses-sewing-skills-to-meet-needs\/\">of<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/salvationarmyflorida.org\/2020\/04\/13\/salvation-army-womens-ministry-group-uses-sewing-skills-to-meet-needs\/\">Pasco<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/salvationarmyflorida.org\/2020\/04\/13\/salvation-army-womens-ministry-group-uses-sewing-skills-to-meet-needs\/\">County<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/salvationarmyflorida.org\/2020\/04\/13\/salvation-army-womens-ministry-group-uses-sewing-skills-to-meet-needs\/\">, <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/salvationarmyflorida.org\/2020\/04\/13\/salvation-army-womens-ministry-group-uses-sewing-skills-to-meet-needs\/\">Florida<\/a> is doing its part to help. A group of employees began making these masks during lunch breaks, but the project has grown to members of the women\u2019s ministry program in New Port Richey.
