In the Southern Territory, service continues in varied forms, with communities coming together for the greater good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the help of FitTeam Ballpark, Whole Foods and Palm Beach Harvest, The Salvation Army distributed food, using modified safety protocols, <a href=\"https:\/\/salvationarmyflorida.org\/2020\/04\/02\/community-rallies-for-salvation-army-drive-thru-food-pantry-in-palm-beach-florida\/\">in<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/salvationarmyflorida.org\/2020\/04\/02\/community-rallies-for-salvation-army-drive-thru-food-pantry-in-palm-beach-florida\/\">West<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/salvationarmyflorida.org\/2020\/04\/02\/community-rallies-for-salvation-army-drive-thru-food-pantry-in-palm-beach-florida\/\">Palm<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/salvationarmyflorida.org\/2020\/04\/02\/community-rallies-for-salvation-army-drive-thru-food-pantry-in-palm-beach-florida\/\">Beach<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/salvationarmyflorida.org\/2020\/04\/02\/community-rallies-for-salvation-army-drive-thru-food-pantry-in-palm-beach-florida\/\">, <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/salvationarmyflorida.org\/2020\/04\/02\/community-rallies-for-salvation-army-drive-thru-food-pantry-in-palm-beach-florida\/\">Florida<\/a>. Volunteers were key in the drive-thru food service, including Port of Palm Beach commissioner Katherine Waldron. More than 100 families were served in a single, with the expectation that number will grow in the coming months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Salvation Army of Mountain Home, Arkansas recently coordinated with a local restaurant, Mel\u2019s Diner, to deliver a special meal for those in need. The restaurant provided food, with The Salvation Army utilizing a mobile feeding unit to serve the meals in coordinated fashion. More than 130 families were served within an hour and families were greeted with a written devotional and coloring sheets issued for children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Personal hygiene is key to combating the COVID-19 pandemic and, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salvationarmycarolinas.org\/blog\/2020\/03\/31\/salvation-army-provides-handwashing-stations-for-homeless\/\">in<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salvationarmycarolinas.org\/blog\/2020\/03\/31\/salvation-army-provides-handwashing-stations-for-homeless\/\">Fayetteville<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.salvationarmycarolinas.org\/blog\/2020\/03\/31\/salvation-army-provides-handwashing-stations-for-homeless\/\">, <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.salvationarmycarolinas.org\/blog\/2020\/03\/31\/salvation-army-provides-handwashing-stations-for-homeless\/\">North<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salvationarmycarolinas.org\/blog\/2020\/03\/31\/salvation-army-provides-handwashing-stations-for-homeless\/\">Carolina<\/a>, The Salvation Army is partnering with the Cumberland County Department of Public Health and local vendors to provide hand-washing stations.
