As multiple crews of first responders are called to a large-scale industrial fire in Parkersburg, West Virginia, The Salvation Army is providing masks, food, and hydration to those serving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
News reports indicate that the initial fire started Saturday morning in one portion of the People\u2019s Cartage, Inc. warehouse and was controlled. Calls came into 9-1-1 on Sunday, reporting that the fires rekindled overnight, spreading throughout the rest of the warehouse. Following a visit on Sunday, West Virginia Gov. Patrick Morrisey declared a state of emergency for Wood County as crews continue to attempt to contain the blaze.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Because of the nature of the fire, crews are expected to be there for some time. The Salvation Army of Parkersburg will remain ready to serve and comfort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
