When disaster strikes, it is a given that employees of relief agencies will respond. However, there are also vast numbers of volunteers ready to give their time, their sweat, and their money to aid alongside these agencies. This volunteer army behind The Salvation Army is what helps to keep thing moving.<br><br>Mary Dye is a long time Salvation Army disaster volunteer. She\u2019s been through hours of training and has deployed for multiple disasters. Mary\u2019s latest deployment was in southern Georgia for Hurricane Michael relief. Mary and other volunteers spent one of their days filling crates of groceries for distribution. \u201cI think the morale has been so good,\u201d Mary enthused. \u201cToday I worked with people who have been volunteering in that warehouse for days. One of them is 83 years old, and nobody complained. We\u2019re all just happy to help.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How to Help:<\/strong><br>The best way to help survivors and relief workers is to make a financial contribution.
