Currently, The Salvation Army of Georgia has mobile feeding units providing food and hydration and emotional and spiritual care. To date, The Salvation Army has served approximately 4,400 meals, 5,000 drinks and 3,700 snacks to first responders and those impacted by Hurricane Michael in south Georgia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe continue to assess and evaluate the situation,\u201d says Captain Erik Henry, Incident Commander for The Salvation Army of Georgia\u2019s Hurricane Michael Incident Management Team, \u201cWe currently have two response teams set up, one in Albany and another in Bainbridge that continually assess and redeploy resources as needed to help those in the most severely affected areas.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Relief efforts extend throughout south Georgia. In the short-term aftermath of the storm, Salvation Army officers and staff will continue to focus on immediate needs providing food, hydration, and emotional and spiritual care to impacted individuals and families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHurricane Michael was a powerful storm,\u201d Says Major Charles Powell, Divisional Commander for The Salvation Army of Georgia. \u201cWe are here to minister in the name of Jesus to those who are hurting \u2014 to be there for them in their time of need.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Salvation Army mobile feeding units are currently positioned in the following South Georgia areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Decatur County<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>2092 Tallahassee Highway South, Bainbridge<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Walmart \u2013 500 East Alice Street, Bainbridge<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Dougherty County<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>East Albany (Putney, Dunes, Massey, Civic Center)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gordon Sports Complex \u2013 800 Willie Pits Jr. Road, Albany<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Albany Fire Company No. 1 \u2013 320 N.
