Power is still out in many parts of the area and according to local reports it may not be restored for several weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today Salvation Army teams of personnel are providing meals to residents, first responders, and volunteers in Mayfield, Kentucky, a town that was directly in the path of Friday night\u2019s storms. Additional reports of areas of need are coming in from the surrounding counties and mobile feeding units are roving in those areas to serve people who are looking for a hot meal and a listening ear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cProviding hope to people in the most need is what we have done in these communities for years,\u201d said Bo Sells, Emergency Disaster Services Director for The Salvation Army in Kentucky and Tennessee. \u201cWe are here now and we will remain as the residents work to restore their lives.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Working closely with local, county, state, and federal officials, The Salvation Army personnel ensure resources and services are focused where needed most.&nbsp;Pulling from a network of strategically placed equipment and a host of trained responders, The
