{"id":8634,"date":"2020-12-31T19:33:00","date_gmt":"2020-12-31T19:33:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/salarmyeds.org\/?p=8634"},"modified":"2025-08-20T19:36:13","modified_gmt":"2025-08-20T19:36:13","slug":"salvation-army-continues-to-serve-christmas-day-bombing-survivors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/salarmyeds.org\/index.php\/2020\/12\/31\/salvation-army-continues-to-serve-christmas-day-bombing-survivors\/","title":{"rendered":"Salvation Army Continues to Serve Christmas Day Bombing Survivors"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Nashville, TN \u2013 \u00a0<\/strong>The Salvation Army has continued to serve those impacted by the unprecedented bombing in downtown Nashville.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Working closely with local, state, and federal authorities, Salvation Army staff immediately began to serve evacuees from the area as well as those responding. &nbsp; Soon after the initial response, The Salvation Army provided much-needed resources to residents of a youth hostel who had to be quickly evacuated and relocated across the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the federal response, the Federal Bureau of Investigation has activated trained Victim Specialists to conduct needs assessments for displaced residents and employees now unable to work. &nbsp; The Salvation Army is playing an important role as survivors are connected to local resources. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFor more than 120 years, the Nashville Salvation Army has worked to meet human needs at the point of need and to do so in the most efficient way. &nbsp;We knew the work of FBI Victim Services Division personnel would be the best way to get help to those who needed it most.\u201d Major Ethan Frizzell said. &nbsp; Frizzell, along with his wife, leads The Salvation Army\u2019s work in Nashville. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In coordination with the FBI, The Salvation Army has been able to provide survivors with needed financial assistance along with connections to dedicated case management to help ensure long-term needs are addressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur Victim Services team has been able to ensure that those impacted by the explosion in downtown Nashville received immediate and important resources from The Salvation Army. &nbsp;We are grateful for the effort made by The Salvation Army to provide this much-needed assistance to those affected in their time of need,\u201d said Special Agent in Charge Douglas M.
