{"id":8776,"date":"2020-09-10T19:05:00","date_gmt":"2020-09-10T19:05:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/salarmyeds.org\/?p=8776"},"modified":"2025-08-25T19:06:46","modified_gmt":"2025-08-25T19:06:46","slug":"the-salvation-army-responds-to-oregon-wildfires-update-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/salarmyeds.org\/index.php\/2020\/09\/10\/the-salvation-army-responds-to-oregon-wildfires-update-2\/","title":{"rendered":"The Salvation Army Responds to Oregon Wildfires &#8211; Update #2"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The State of Oregon has asked The Salvation Army to provide 6,000 boxed meals daily for three evacuee locations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Clackamas Town Center\u00a0at\u00a012000 SE 82nd Ave, Happy Valley, OR 97086, starting Thursday, September 10.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Oregon State Fairgrounds\u00a0at\u00a02330 17th St. NE, Salem, OR 97303, starting Friday, September 11.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Jackson County Expo\u00a0at\u00a01 Peninger Rd, Central Point, OR 97502, starting Friday, September 11.\u00a0<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Salvation Army will continue providing meals in Linn, Douglas, and Lincoln Counties.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>LINN COUNTY:\u00a0Serving meals to evacuees at the Linn Benton Fairgrounds at\u00a03700 Knox Butte Rd E, Albany, OR 97322.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>DOUGLAS COUNTY:\u00a0Serving meals to evacuees at the Douglas County Fairgrounds at 2110 Frear St, Roseburg, OR 97471.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>LINCOLN COUNTY: Serving dinner at Newport Recreation Center at\u00a0225 SE Avery St, Newport, OR 97365.<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Salvation Army is also providing drinks, N95 masks, sack lunches, snacks, and coffee at&nbsp;<strong>Clackamas Town Center <\/strong>at12000 SE 82nd Ave, Happy Valley, OR 97086, starting Thursday, September 10.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Salvation Army HOPE House in Medford is currently sheltering 43 evacuees, providing meals, and is expecting more evacuees.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>DONATIONS<\/strong><br>The best way to help evacuees is to make a financial contribution.
