The Salvation Army Continues to Serve in Central Arkansas Tornado Recovery Efforts

Little Rock AR (April 10, 2022). In the aftermath of the devastating tornadoes that hit the City of Little Rock and surrounding areas, The Salvation Army has been providing support to those who have been impacted the most.  The organization remains dedicated to serving the community, providing food, hydration, and emotional and spiritual care to those who are hurting after the storms.

At a hard-hit apartment complex and around the Amboy neighborhoods in North Little Rock, The Salvation Army has been instrumental in helping residents cope with the aftermath of the storm.  Many people have been without power for over 10 days, but The Salvation Army has been there to provide much-needed relief.

Veronica, a resident in the affected area, expressed her gratitude towards The Salvation Army, stating that they are “angels of mercy.”  She further added, “Thank you for your help, support, and service. All the food has been delicious and savory.”

Another resident, Patricia, also known as ‘Ms. Birdie,’ expressed her appreciation for the hot meals provided by The Salvation Army.  Linda, stated “it was a blessing to be served and not forgotten.”

The Salvation Army remains devoted to supporting those affected by the tornadoes and is actively working towards providing relief to those who need it the most.  The organization urges the community to come together and support their efforts in any way possible.
