The Salvation Army’s response to Hurricane Helene, which has caused historic damage across the southeastern United States, covered six states. Salvation Army mobile feeding units, working in cooperation with Southern Baptist Disaster Relief field kitchens, provided food and drinks as well as emergency relief supplies to rescue workers and survivors. Emotional and Spiritual care, always a staple of our response, became even more important amidst unprecedented trauma and destruction.
The Salvation Army served 452175 Hot Meals, 42045 Meal Kits, 207512 Drinks and 220600 Snacks from 95 total mobile feeding units.
Salvation Army caregivers have provided emotional and spiritual to 44211 People.
442 trained Salvation Army disaster workers have given 238885 hours of service.
