Salvation Army Disaster Services - Hope is on the Way

Texas Flash Floods

Intense raid over a few hours caused the Guadelupe River to overflow, causing catastrophic flooding that affected numerous neighborhoods, flooded homes, businesses and forced road closures. Salvation Army teams were mobilized in a matter of hours and began working around the clock to provide meals, hydration and Emotional and Spiritual Care (ESC) to first responders and search and rescue teams as well communities affected by devastating flooding.

After the first few weeks, the Salvation Army’s service shifted from response to immediate recovery assistance in. The focus on recovery will continue as impacted residents seek long-term assistance to rebuild their lives.
