Austin, TX – The Salvation Army is teaming up with Sock Club, an Austin-based custom sock company, to bring comfort and warmth to survivors of the recent Texas floods.

Earlier this summer, Sock Club celebrated its 13th anniversary by breaking the world record for the largest words ever created entirely out of socks spelling “SOCK LOVE” in a massive display made from 9,236 socks. The display was streamed live to fans across the country and served as the centerpiece of a celebration focused on creativity, community, and giving back.

Now, the majority of those socks are finding a new purpose. Through Sock Club’s Giveback Program, a pair of socks is donated for every pair sold, supporting their commitment to bring warmth and dignity where it’s needed most. Since launch, they’ve pledged 100,000 pairs of USA-made socks to people experiencing homelessness.

“This partnership couldn’t have come at a more critical time,” said Delisa Harper, Event Manager at Sock Club. “Something as simple as a pair of clean, warm socks can mean so much to someone who has lost so much. We’re grateful to the Salvation Army for this opportunity to directly help our neighbors in need.”

The socks will be distributed to communities most affected by the flooding, ensuring that comfort and care reach those who need it most.Learn more about Sock Club’s Giveback Program at https://custom.sockclub.com/philanthropy.
