Bucksnort Industrial Explosion

On October 10th, a devastating blast tore through a rural Tennessee explosives plant.The blast, which could be felt by residents miles away, left little remaining of the facility. The Salvation Army was mobilized to provide hydration support for first responders processing the scene as well as emotional and spiritual care for first responders and the community at large. 
Salvation Army personnel supported operations at a family assistance center that served as a central resource hub for employees, their families, and friends. The Salvation Army provided emergency financial assistance in the form of gift cards, food boxes with groceries for a week, infant/toddler supplies, and much needed emotional and spiritual care.
