Enid, Okla. (May 1, 2026) In the aftermath of the EF4 tornado that caused significant damage in parts of Enid, The Salvation Army continues to be present in the community, offering support as recovery efforts move forward.
What’s been most evident in recent days is the way the Enid community has come together. Volunteers continue to show up, ready to help neighbors, first responders, and anyone affected by the storm. Working alongside those volunteers, The Salvation Army has provided more than 1,600 meals, over 1,500 drinks, and nearly 1,000 snacks to keep people fed during long days of response and cleanup.
Much of that work has been made possible through strong local partnerships. Multiple local restaurants have stepped in to help The Salvation Army provide meals, ensuring hot food reaches those working and recovering in the hardest-hit areas. Premier Water also donated 28 pallets of bottled water, and QuikTrip (QT) assisted by transporting the water to Enid so it could be distributed quickly. In addition, the City of Enid is supporting the effort by allowing The Salvation Army to store supplies in a city warehouse, helping operations continue smoothly.
Service is expected to continue through Sunday, May 3, as recovery efforts ramp up this weekend. The City of Enid has requested 600 volunteers to assist with cleanup, and The Salvation Army will be on-site to support volunteers and those impacted by the tornado with meals, drinks, and encouragement.
The Salvation Army remains committed to walking alongside the Enid community during this difficult time and will continue serving for as long as help is needed.
