2022 Spring Storm Outbreak

In March and April, a series of storms and tornadoes plagued the southern United States. One of the strengths of The Salvation Army structure and response in times of disaster is that the organization already has a presence in nearly every zip code.

Through church and community centers, Service Centers, and volunteer-run Service Units, The Salvation Army can quickly mobilize staff, volunteers, and equipment, and be at a disaster site often within the first few hours of response. Teams mobilized quickly in affected areas to meet the needs each storm had created.
